Our Commitment
Gambling is a form of entertainment, not a source of income or a solution to financial problems. Apuesta Total operates under MINCETUR licence N° 21002576010000 and follows the responsible-gaming standards set out in Peru's Law No. 31557. This guide is independent editorial content, but we take player protection just as seriously — every review we publish highlights the tools each operator provides.
Account Control Tools
Apuesta Total account holders can activate any of the following controls at any time through the account settings menu. Once set, most tools cannot be reduced or removed for the duration of the cooling-off period required by MINCETUR.
Deposit Limits
Cap the amount of money you can deposit per day, week or month. Deposit limits are the single most effective tool for keeping spending in line with a budget. Requests to increase a limit trigger a 24-hour cooling-off period; decreases apply instantly.
Loss Limits
Cap the total net loss over a chosen period. Unlike deposit limits, loss limits account for winnings — if you deposit S/100, win S/60 back, and lose it again, that counts as a S/100 loss towards the cap.
Session Time Reminders
Set custom notifications — every 30 minutes, hour or two hours — that pop up during play showing time elapsed and net result. Useful for keeping perspective during long live-betting sessions on major fixtures.
Reality Check & Cool-Off
Set a short, self-imposed break — 24 hours, 72 hours or seven days — during which login is blocked. Useful when a session isn't going the way you hoped and you want to step away without full self-exclusion.
Self-Exclusion
For longer breaks, self-exclude for 30 days, six months or one year. During self-exclusion the account is fully locked, all marketing is stopped, and Apuesta Total will not accept re-registration attempts. Permanent self-exclusion is also available on request through customer support.
Warning Signs
Gambling has stopped being entertainment when any of the following start applying:
- You bet more than you can comfortably afford to lose
- You chase losses by increasing stakes or betting on markets you don't understand
- You borrow money — from family, friends, credit cards or loans — to fund betting
- You feel anxious, irritable or restless when not betting
- You hide the extent of your betting from partners, family or colleagues
- You skip work, sleep or social commitments to bet
- You believe a "big win" will solve financial problems caused by previous losses
Protecting Under-18s
Peruvian law prohibits gambling by anyone under 18. Apuesta Total verifies age through the RENIEC national identity database during registration, and any account found to belong to a minor is closed immediately with all deposits refunded and any winnings forfeited. Parents can use device-level parental controls such as Google Family Link, Apple Screen Time or third-party filtering tools like Net Nanny to block gambling content on shared devices.
